Divava Okavango Resort & Spa, in the Bagani area close to Divundu, is Namibia ’s hidden wildlife paradise in the Kavango Region, where time stands still. The Resort is nestled amongst majestic trees on the banks of the Okavango River, sharing common borders with the renowned Popa Falls.
The mighty Okavango River and the abundance of wildlife in the Mahango Game Reserve and Buffalo Game Parks commissioned Divava Okavango Resort & Spa to provide guests the ultimate opportunity to enjoy wildlife, nature and luxury in the Bush. Upon arrival, you would encounter the green tropical oasis in which the charming African thatched buildings and sparkling pool are settled. Divava is fondly referred to “Paradishi Ghomumbiru” (Little Paradise) by the locals.
Divava Okavango Resort and Spa offers 20 luxurious chalets located on a high river bank, with a large deck giving you an incredible overview over the Okavango. The Resort is designed to ensure that the guests enjoy and experience all possible comforts in the tranquil setting of the Kavango River. The Spa has been designed to look similar to the huts of the local residents with each treatment room facing the Okavango River. Divava Okavango Resort & Spa really is one of its kind in the Kavango region of Namibia, ideal for individual travelers wanting to explore the Okavango, so well known for its excellent and diverse wildlife encounters. Sink into the call of the wild with a natural soundtrack of the Popa falls’ rafts in the background.

Mahango National Park
This amazing National Park is only at 10 minutes drive from Divava Okavango Resort and offers you a very good chance to spot four out of the Big Five!
Elephants, Buffalo, Lion and Leopard are very present in this park and easy to spot. This park is much smaller then the Etosha National Park and perfect to visit for only a few hours. It is a must when you visit Divava Resort to make a turn in the park. You can do it with you own car and follow the roadsigns or let us take you with one of our game drive vehicles and our guide/driver will tell you everything you wish to know about this unique park and its inhabitants.
Discover the Okavango River and its surroundings on one of our Boat Cruises or Safaris.
We take you with our small or large boat down the stream where you will see Hippo, Crocodile, an enormous variety on Birdlife and much more! Our guide will tell you everything you wish to know about the amazing nature and wildlife in and around the river.
Just before sundown we drive a bit further up stream from the Resort, to the Popa Falls where we then watch the sunset with some refreshments and snacks.
Fishing is another fun and unique activity at Divava Okavango Resort! Go out on the mighty Okavango River for a few hours and catch some on the world’s most unique species like Tigerfish, Tilapia and Catfish!
Buffalo Game Park
The Buffalo Game Park is less popular then the Mahango National Park but also defiantly worth a visit. The park has many narrow roads and is not always accessible as the roads can flood when the Okavango River is high during the rainy season.
You might see Elephant, Buffalo, Hippo, Crocodiles, Roan Antelope or one of the almost 400 bird species that have been recorded in West Caprivi.
The Popa Falls are defiantly not the biggest falls you can find in Namibia but they do provide an absolute beautiful setting for our sun-downer boat cruises or islands dinners. The sound of the Popa Falls at only a few hundred meters from the Resort is the ideal soundtrack while relaxing in the Spa or enjoying dinner at our Restaurant.
Visit a Traditional Village nearby Divava Okavango Resort.
The Kavango inhabitants will welcome you in their village and show you how they grow crops, prepare food and drinks and much more. You will learn about their culture and watch their traditional dances.
Mokoro Boat Trips
The Mokoro Boat is the main form of transport on the Okavango River. Take part in a Mokoro Boat Trip from Divava resort and experience it for yourself! Mokoro’s are made from the trunks of trees such as Jackalberry’s and Sausage trees. The mokoro’s are silently driven through by an experienced guide.
